The Aesop Parsley Seed range

Aesop is a Melbourne-born skincare brand that I have held in extremely high regard for over 10 years now. Fusing natural ingredients with serious efficacy, and a strong appreciation for design (evident in product packaging and their uniquely designed stores), Aesop is a truly beautiful brand.

I have tried many of their products over the years, and I currently have my fair share in rotation within the medicine cabinet and my skincare shelf. Dean too, has maintained a love affair with this brand, which in aesthetic and scent suits men and women equally well. Even our bathroom hand soap and lotion are Aesop (pretty common amongst a whole heap of Aussies I know, whether still in Australia or not!).

My most recent foray is a result of being gifted the totally luxe New York travel kit by a dear friend, which alongside a shampoo, conditioner and body cleanser, also contained the three mainstays of the parsley seed range.

  • Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser: A gentle gel cleanser for use on all skin types, with mild exfoliation from Lactic Acid, and balancing from Jojoba oil. A non-drying gel cleanser that is surprisingly effective at removing makeup (mascara included). A little goes a long way.
  • Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Toner: A refreshing anti-oxidant toner to calm, balance and even skin tone. Suitable for all skin types. This is full of good-for-skin ingredients. I patted it in with hands, and while it feels a little tacky to the touch it posed no problems whatsoever for layering skincare or makeup on top.
  • Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum: An anti-oxidant rich, daily-use serum moisturiser for dry, combination and sensitive skin types. Even though this feels like a light weight serum, it provided adequate hydration for my skin, without any additional lotions or creams. My makeup applied well on top and stayed looking good and lasted longer than over any other skincare product in recent memory.
For those who are familiar with my blog, these 3 join their cousin and my long-term favourite, the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque, which I also highly recommend for clarifying the skin without leaving it dry or stripped.

I used these products exclusively, day and night, during my recent trip abroad and my skin looked the best it has in months. Clear, smooth and nourished without being dry nor greasy. I'm not usually one to get all matchy-matchy with my skincare, but this range really has me hanging to buy the full-size lineup, and I would very much recommend looking into whether they may suit your skin as well.
